The Ogden Marathon.

Well I did it!!! I ran my first marathon. And
I can't tell you how many times I tried talking
my self out of it..It was so awesome I am so glad I
did it..My friend shauna and I have been training
non stop since october and we both can't believe
it came and gone..I am so glad I had her to train
with cause I know there is no way I would have done
it with out her..I also got to run with my little
sister and my step mom and her sister it was such
a blast we stayed in the hotel the night before and went
out to dinner and just relaxed. The next morning we got
up at4 in the morning and the bus took us up to the mountain
it was insane I couldn't believe how many people were up there
it got me all excited..When the gun shot off
we waited a minute and then we started running I stayed
at a good pace, I told my self I want to run this marathon
in 4 hours and 30 minutes..I never thought I would
do it but I never stopped running until I hit a wall at
23 miles WOW!!!!
I was like r u serious I still have 3.2 miles
left to run..I was seriously dead but this nice guy kept pushing
me the whole way he was so nice..
I know I couldn't have pushed my
self without him. I called Nate and my dad at mile
25 and told them I
was close and the last mile was the best everyone was pushing you telling
you..come on your almost there...
And to my suprise I beat my goal
I ran the whole marathon in 4 hours and 19 minutes...I was shocked
seriously and I was so excited to see everyone there supporting me.
I have the best family and friends in the whole world. And most
of all a wonderful husband he
brought my four kids all by himself
did the girls hair as you can tell from the picture above..lol I love it
and he is the reason I ran as fast as I did..I don't know if
there is another marathon in the future but there
might be a triatholon well see..

Spring is Here...

Spring is my favorite time of year. I don't know
if it's we have many birthdays in our house, or if it's
the flowers coming up and everything getting green, the
many easter egg hunts and baskets..I really do love
this time of year..But most of all I am so greatful
for the atonement of Christ. We had an amazing
family home evening and I was debating how to
teach the kids the atonement just because it is
even hard for me to understand but I found a really
cute way. And the kids this time were so reverant
listening to the lesson. I don't know if it was me
getting choked up and crying or if the spirit was
really strong..I am so greatful for this time of
year.

Family night planned a great lesson on the atonement.
the kids painted eggs afterwards

Feeling GUILTY...

So lately I have been having to work alot of Overtime for my job so it feels like I have been on the computer endlessly..I honestly feel like a bad mom...The T.V. is my kids entertainment and parent these days...Well monday morning I was just about to go work on my computer and my little four year old Jordan looks up at me and says " Mom can't you just hang out with me you are always on the computer. " I stopped what I was doing and looked at him and said you know what your right I am not going to work today we are going to go to the store and get a movie and stop at mcdonald and come home and watch it together..Of course he picked out Astro boy but you know what I loved every minute of it. we both got under the blanket and layed on the couch and watched the movie.Even Katelyn layed with us it was so nice and so needed I think as a mom I have been starting to feel like I have needed to work I don't know if I get nervous because of the economy and everything happening that I need to save up but I was talking to one of my friends who is always doing fun things with her kids and her kids are so good and she has such a good relationship with them. I started looking at my kids and they are wild at times and always complaining..But I know that my kids act out cause they want attention lets just say it's been crazy and she had the best advise..She said we only have this little amount of time with these kids.. and then they start going to school and then they want to just be with there friends..Enjoy the time you have with them because it will be gone before you know it...So true Money isn't everything..I need to start taking her advise as long as we are living how we are suppose to and paying our tithing everything will fall into place..I have totally forgetten the important things in life and money shouldn't be one of them..Yeah I have to work but I think my Overtime days are done..Yeah the money is nice but my kids are more important...Sorry such a downer post but I honestly think that is why I have been down alot I am sick of looking at the computer..Now that spring is here I am going to start having fun and get out of my house. here is to Thomas S. Monson advise Enjoy the Journey!!! which is what I am going to do I love my kids so much and I don't want them to remember me as my mom always is working..I want them to remember all the little things my mom did with me..

January...

Okay well there went my new years resolution
of keeping up with my blog..ugh oh well.
January just came and went we did so much especiall
with the family.. As a tradition my dad always
takes us kids to the canyons for the day and
go skiing and I love it..I wish I could go skiing
more it is fun...I miss it I used to go 4-5 times a month in
the winter before I had kids..
Also the kids went sledding a couple times and
it was so fun to watch them especially
Jordan he loved going down the hill but hated
going up..He would come down the hill and
say "MOM can you give me a piggy back" the first time
it was cute but after the 10th,11th, time NO...
Towards the end of january Nate and I got to go with
his brother Matt and wife to St.george for the weekend no kids it was so fun
we decided to leave our ambitions at home and try new things..which we did
- eating at different restraunts ( Anasazi grill- food b-b-que on a rock yummy.. )
and samurai 21 which was very entertaining.
-of course the guys went golfing...
-Heather and I went shopping and got a pedicure :)
- saw movies ( when in Rome. )
- hot tubing at night
so fun we decided once a year we need to keep that tradition.
